Household Wonder

I recently came across a book that recommends baking soda as a cancer cure: Sodium Bicarbonate – Rich Man’s Poor Man’s Cancer Treatment (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001OI1YSE). I have not yet read the book, though I find the premise fascinating.

“This book is about the application of the least expensive, safest and perhaps most effective cancer medicine there is. Sodium bicarbonate cancer treatment focuses on delivering natural chemotherapy in a way that effectively kills cancer cells while dramatically reducing the brutal side effects and costs experienced with standard chemotherapy treatments.” (more info available through link)

We’ve all used baking soda around the house—in our baked goods, laundry and drains. Children use it to create miniature “active” volcanoes. The powder is a great toothpaste substitute, fridge freshener, fire extinguisher, and litter box deodorizer. Below are three lists of baking soda uses that include instructions for preparation.

– 75 uses for baking soda are listed at: http://lifehackery.com/2008/07/22/home-4/.

Sodium bicarbonate is also a remedy for a variety of health issues. Here are a few I found online: insect bites, heartburn, pH balance, gout, kidney disease, acne, bladder infections, stained teeth, poison ivy, canker sores, excess sweating, flatulence, toenail fungus, colds, flu, bad breath, sunburn, sore throat, and foot odor. A couple of my health books add: diarrhea, indigestion, skin rash, and vaginal yeast infection.

The cure for what ails you at the moment just might be in your cupboard! Blessings, Becky
