Grandma Gone Granola™: Simple, Inexpensive Tips for Healthy Living
When I think of Easter, I think of sunshine and joy, not that I’ve always experienced Easter sunshine in the West. More than once, I’ve shivered through sub-zero sunrise services (well, not quite that cold). And more than once, my parents hid the eggs in the house rather than outside in the snow. My husband and I did the same for our own children.
But joy—Easter is always a joyous celebration, no matter the weather or challenges that cloud our lives. Jesus anticipated the joy of Easter long before his death and resurrection. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)
“Now the church bells, which have been silenced since Maunday Thursday, peal forth in joy, and ‘Alleluia!’…can again be proclaimed.” (Donna Fletcher Crow, Seasons of Prayer).
